If you've been around long enough, you may have notice that I severely neglect my blog at this time of year. Same goes for my work.
Its obvious why. Getting near Christmas, there's a lot of external stuff going on that keeps me away from the computer. I'm going into holiday mode because a lot of my family take time off over the Christmas/New Year break, so there's lots of parties and catching up to do. Most years I spend a lot of time thinking "I really should be writing this, or editing that." But today I decided something. I'm making my job an eleven-months-of-the-year thing. December is going to be like Sundays, a time when no work is done. Oh, you know me, I'm sure I'll do bits and pieces here and there when inspiration strikes. But I've worked my butt off in the last fifteen months, getting out five books after Sanctuary was released last September, not to mention the manuscripts I've worked on for the purpose of submitting to agents or other publishing houses.
So I'm officially going on holidays... except not leaving home. Don't be surprised if there's no new blog activity until January, though obviously if something interesting happens in terms of the submissions I have out, it'll be on here first.
So merry Christmas and safe New Year to everyone. I'm off to relax and put a dent in my to-be-read pile.
